Subject: FW: NGCM2004 web site
Dear Petr Sergeevich and Alexander Yakovlevich,
Thank you for your suggestions of the speakers!
Could you provide their e-mail addresses and
phone number as well as first and middle names for
proper addressing (at least for those who are
available and you have no doubt that they are
the best candidates to reprsent Ioffe Institute at
our meeting)?
Another request, which still remains is the candidates
in Advisory Board (Alferov!) and in the Scientific Committee.
Our practice was at the first meeting to have (wherever possible)
one international and one local (Russian) chairman for each
section. Since Ioffe Institute has a variety of nano+microelectronics
research directrions, it should not be a problem to find at least a
couple of people, who can help in identifying good speakers
in the speficic research areas, particularly in Russia. The
technical sections we had at the first meetings are:
Future FETS
fabrication of nanodevices
optoelectronics
magnetic materials and devices
molecular electronics
modeling & simulation
We may add one or a couple more with a spefic focus of
the corresponding Ioffe Institute most strong direction,
if this will add some value to the program or modify the
exisiting ones. Meeting sessions should not always reflect
exactly the title of thes ection and, in fact, we can reduce
the number of parallel sessions. for example, modeling &
simualtion is always modeling of something" where the talk
may fit, but it may be useful to have a modeling expert to
help in evaluation the abstracts and with inviting high level
experts. In fact, molecular electronics is by definition is
a mix of experiments and theory, since it is "virtual electronics"
for the future (some sceptics may say will never happen in
our life time!).
Number of all sessions including morning and afternoon plenary
sessions, parallel sessions and posters will alsways exceed the
number of our technical experts on the Advisory Board and in
the Program Committee. Thus there will be a lot of "chairs for
chairmen" to honor everyone who will contribute.
Best Regards,
Anatoli

Dear Anatoli,
I am glad to know that this matter has moved from the dead point.
Please look at the result of our yesterday discussion with Peter
Kopiev
Best regards

KAr> Dear co-organizers on NGCM2004 (initiative group),
KAr> We (Siklitsliy, Labanowsk, Oseeva and myself) had discusions
KAr> regarding NGCM2004 presence in the internet. Finally, everyone has
KAr> agreed that for us having two web sites for the meeting provides an easier
KAr> and more reliable approach than trying to maintain one with two web masters
KAr> on the different sides of the Atlantic Ocean. This also gives us more freedom.
KAr> The web site at Ioffe Institute will be our primary and official web site,
KAr> while the web site in Ohio will serve as a back up and support. Both
KAr> sites will be open to the public and used as the references. Both
KAr> web sites will have references to each other to avoid potential confusions
KAr> and will have cross references for the corresponding functions.
KAr> By the end of this week we should have done most of preliminary work
KAr> required to make the web sites public and the plan is to announce
KAr> the conference broadly on the internet IN TWO WEEKS. It will allow
KAr> us to start pre-registration and search for the sponsors, speakers,
KAr> exhibitors and also a general marketing campaign for the meeting.
KAr> Best Regards,
KAr> Anatoli
