Abstract

The influence of thermal annealing on the giant magnetoresistance and electrical resistivity of (Co41Fe39B20)x(SiOn)100-x granular composites has been investigated over a wide concentration range (36less-than or equal toxless-than or equal to60 in at.%). It has been observed that the heat treatment of the composites, which are below the percolation threshold, leads to an increase of the giant magnetoresistance (almost up to three times) and shifts the magnetoresistance maximum to a range with more dielectric concentration.
