RE: First NGCM2004 Local Committe meeting
Dear Alexander,
At our first meeting we mentioned that we start some cooridinated
work and will have some preliminary information ready by the middle
of March to put it on our modified web site. The question about
coordination of our two webmasters remains open and this holds
us from going further. I also did not get a promised info about
St Petersburg hotel and a budget estimate. Can we enforce that?
To start with the committees and invited speakers, we need
suggestions from Ioffe Institute. We will have three committees,
Advisory Board, Program Committee and the local committee.
This weekend Jan Labanowski will come in Phoenix and will be here
until Wednesday. We will discuss the web site layout among ourselves
and may try to contactVadim. Any initial suggestions are most welcome.
Best regards,
Anatoli

Subject: First NGCM2004 Local Committe meeting
Dear Anatoli,
As I promised yesterday, I am sending a list of persons who will involve
all time in preparation of the conference.
All of them know English and there is not problem with communication in
English by e-mail.
You can contact with me at evening time by home phone also.
We will prepare a draft of budget as soon as possible (two days at the
Education Centre - autumn school and 3 days in hotel St.Petersburg - the
conference)
Sergey Kidalov will make the estimation of the budget based on your
yesterday remarks:
number of participants is
about 150 from abroad
about 200 from Russia and CIS but nit from St.Petersburg (100 will live in
hotel St.Petersburg and 100 in a cheap hotel)
about 100 from St.Petersburg.
I met Peter Kopiev today morning. He fully agreed with your good idea to
divide the conference in two parts (2 days scrool at the Education centre)
and 3 days at the hotel. We will discuss with him possible speakers from
Ioffe Institute and Russia one of these days.
Best regards and kind wishes
Yours sincerely A.Ya
