         Discovery Workshop

Co-chairmen: Peter Kruse, Zoran Miskovic, and Federico Rosei,

We have many distinguished scientists as invited speakers and time slots for contributed oral papers are very limited. At the same time we have received a large number of excellent abstracts with requests for oral presentations. To accommodate these requests the conference organizers have established three additional afternoon oral sessions (Discovery workshop) at the symposium (August 12-14) designated for contributed talks by students, post-docs, early career professors and researchers. All abstracts which have been submitted with a request for oral presentation will be reviewed by selection committee of the Discovery workshop.

The selection process may require some additional time, however, some of the conference participants need prompt approval in order to apply for visa or/and funding for travel. For those participants we are offering fast approval of abstracts for poster presentation. These abstracts will still receive subsequent consideration for oral presentation at the Discovery workshop.

All papers at the Discovery Workshop selected for oral presentation may also be presented as posters. Thus, initial approval for poster presentation with the subsequent selection as a contributed oral talk does not exclude the option of also presenting a poster. This will allow for further interaction and discussion with attendees interested in your research. If you require early approval or have any questions regarding these discovery sessions or other elements of our program, please feel free to contact Tyler Roschuk or send an email to our general email address ().
