GENERAL INFORMATION

Group and individual social programs are available for participants and accompanying persons. We will continue to add more options when they become available. Visit our Web site again later for new information. Also, check the information provided at the registration desk upon your arrival for the latest social program options. Information below will help you in planning your trip in Moscow. You may also check the Web sites provided below. They provide an overview of Moscow cultural and entertainment events and good places to visit and see:


RECEPTION & DINNER

The reception for the meeting will take place in the Moscow State University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Septemebr 12, 2002. Admission is free for the participants and accompanied persons.

The conference dinner will take place in the Palace of Science at 7 p.m. on Friday September 13, 2002. Admission is $20.



CITY TOURS

The Capital Tours agency ( http://www.capitaltours.ru), with its partner Patriarshy Dom Tours, offer the following sightseeing tours and excursions for the participants of the NGCM2002 and their accompanying persons. You need to order the tour at least a night before to make sure that it will be conducted. To get a full refund you need to cancel a tour at least 2 hours before it starts. You can arrange a pick-up for $6 per person with Capital Tours.

  • Kremlin and Armory Museum Tours
    Time: 10:30 am; 3:00 pm; (except Thursday); $30 per person including the admission fee; meet in the Capital Tours office at Ilijnka street, 4; duration 3 hours.
     
  • City Sightseeing Tour
    Time: 11:00 am; 2:30 pm; $18 per person; meet in the Capital Tours office at Ilijnka street, 4; duration 3 hours.
     
  • Tretiakov Gallery Tour
    Time: 10:00 am, $20 including the admission; meet near the entrance gate to the Tretiakov Gallery at Lavrushinsky per., 10; duration 3 hours (2 people minimum).
     
  • Moscow Metro Tour
    Time: 3:00 pm; $12; meet at the West entrance of the Rossija Hotel; duration 2 hours (2 people minimum).
     
  • Novodevichy Convent
    Time: 10:00 am; $20 including admission; meet near the entrance gate to the Convent; duration 2 hours.
     
  • Kolomenskoye Estate
    Time: 3:00 pm; $25 including the admission fee; meet at the West entrance of the Rossija Hotel; duration 3 hours (2 people minimum).
     
  • KGB Museum
    Time: 10:00 am; $20 including the admission fee; meet near the entrance to the museum at Bolshaya Lubianka street, 12; duration 2 hours (3 people minimum).
     
  • Pushkin Fine Art Museum
    Time: 3:00 pm; $20 including the admission fee; meet near the entrance gate to the museum at Volkhonka street, 12, duration 2 hours (2 people minimum).
     
  • Day tour to Sergiev Posad (Outside of Moscow recommended for Saturday) Time: 10:00 am; $33 including admission fee; meet at the West entrance of the Rossija Hotel (5 people minimum).
